The Specialty Clinic/Outpatient Clinic is a community outpatient center developed to serve SCHD residents. We strive to provide quality care for all age groups and their families. The Clinic is located at 913 11th St. SE, Bandon, Oregon just north of Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center. Hongola, M.D. Dr. Hongola is a Board Certified General Surgeon. To schedule appointments please call (541) 347-8283. *Dr. John A. DiMaggio Dr. DiMaggio is a Board Certified Podiatric Surgeon and is available for treatment and care of painful feet, in-grown toenails, sports injuries, and diabetic foot care. Call the Clinic at (541) 347-8283 for an appointment. *Nursing Nail And Foot Care Clinic Staffed by nurses certified in Nail and Foot Care through the WOCN Board. For an appointment please call (541) 347-8283 *Diabetes Center The Center adjoins the Clinic and is staffed by a Certified Diabetes Educator, Robin Summers, RN, CFCN. A community health and education resource library and referral service is available for residents with diabetes and other chronic conditions who would benefit from education, referral services, and support meetings. For more information please call (541) 347-8283. *Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse and Clinic Manager Susan Johnson, RN, BSN, CWOCN is available to see patients with acute and chronic wounds, ostomies, and incontinence issues. For more information please call (541) 347-8283. *Intravenous Therapy Clinic nurses Catherine Spinner, RN, Robin Summers, RN, and Sue Johnson, RN, BSN, CWOCN, are available to provide, with doctors orders, IV hydration, antibiotic therapy, therapeutic phlebotomy, IV medications and central line care. For appointments please call (541) 347-8283 *Injections Clinic nurses are able to provide, with doctors orders, antibiotics, B-12, Procrit, Neupogen and other medications. For an appointment please call (541) 347-8283 A Coumadin Clinic where patients can receive immediate dosage level results is available at the Southern Coos Outpatient Specialty Clinic by appointment during regular Outpatient Specialty Clinic business hours. Patients can have blood levels taken and see results in the same appointment. Health care providers can administer the test through a finger stick. The equipment needed to offer the Coumadin Clinic was purchased with donations from the Southern Coos Health Foundation and Southern Coos Hospital Auxiliary. A Coumadin Clinic. It consistently costs people their jobs, their marriage, their friends. It can put a person into total isolation. Social connections and income can be lost. Unceasing pain reduces some lives to shambles. And, it can happen to anyone at any time. Help for many, however, is as close as the interventional Pain Clinic at Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center. People are helped through outpatient procedures that do not involve narcotics or surgery. Referrals to the pain clinic at Southern Coos are generally made by the person’s primary physician.
